1. Overview
EV Stop Station ("we", "our") helps you find electric-vehicle charging stations across India. This policy explains what data our Android app and website collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using EV Stop Station, you agree to this policy.
2. Data we collect
- Account information (only if you sign in): name, email address and profile information provided via Google Sign-In. Guest browsing requires no account.
- Location data (only when you grant permission): approximate or precise device location, used to show nearby charging stations, compute distances and plan routes. Location is accessed only while you use location features and is never collected in the background.
- App activity and preferences: saved/favourite stations, search and filter choices, route requests and support messages — used to operate the service and improve results.
- Device and technical data: device model, OS version, app version, crash logs and performance diagnostics needed for stability and security.
- Advertising (website only): our website may show Google AdSense ads to non-subscribed visitors. Google may use cookies to personalise those ads. The Android app shows no third-party ads.
3. How we use your data
- Show nearby charging stations, station details, availability and routes.
- Operate sign-in, sync favourites and provide customer support.
- Monitor performance, fix crashes, prevent abuse and secure the service.
- We do not sell your personal data to anyone.
4. Data sharing
- Our backend (
api.evstopstation.com) processes your requests and stores account data. - Google Sign-In / OAuth: used only for authentication, under Google's privacy policy.
- Map tiles and routing providers receive anonymised map-viewport requests needed to render maps.
- Legal: we disclose data only when required by law or to protect our users and service.
5. Android permissions we request
- Location (approximate / precise) — optional; nearby search and navigation. You can deny it and still browse stations manually.
- Internet / network state — required to fetch station data.
6. Your choices and data deletion
- You can use the app without signing in; location permission is optional and revocable anytime in Android Settings → Apps → EV Stop Station → Permissions.
- To access, correct or delete your account data, email support@evstopstation.com from your registered email address. We will confirm and complete deletion within 30 days, keeping only records the law requires us to retain. Full details and step-by-step instructions: Delete Account & Data.
7. Data retention and security
Account data is kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for fraud prevention and legal compliance. Location queries are not stored as a history of your movements. We protect data with encrypted transport (HTTPS), access controls and least-privilege infrastructure access — but no method is 100% secure.
8. Children's privacy
EV Stop Station is a general-audience utility not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13; if you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be announced in the app or on this page with a revised effective date.
